Residential Community Safety Officers

The Residential Community Safety Officer (RCSO) is a visible frontline presence responsible for validating access to Syracuse University residential facilities to promote the safety and security of our residents. These are full-time, academic year, benefits-eligible roles. Must be available to work day or evening shifts, high school diploma or GED required. Learn more and apply online. Job# 035949

  • Ability to complete the DPS field training program and obtain and maintain a NYS security guard license.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to make critical decisions that affect the safety and well-being of campus residents.
  • Available to work all shifts (evenings, day and afternoon shifts, weekends and holidays).
  • Hold at least a high school diploma or GED.
  • Those with experience in a collegiate setting are encouraged to apply.
